When ordering a sundial we will require the following information:-

Site position: where will the dial be set up? Even if the site position is not to be included on the dial we need to know it in order to draw the hourlines accurately.

Dedication: this can normally be included somewhere on the dial. Let us know if you have a preference as to where it should go. If it's a present and you have a deadline please give us plenty of notice so we can deliver it to you in good time!

Motto: we will replace any motto with your own preference...but don't make it too long please! (see mottoes)

The Equation of Time: this can be included on some dials. It makes your dial even more accurate!! If you have a preferred design and also want to include the Equation of Time please contact us and we will work out the extra cost.

Size: larger baseplates are available. Contact us with your requirements and we will pleased to give you a quote.

Thickness of baseplate : Our standard baseplates are made from 2.00mm brass. This can be upgraded.

Finish : Choose from bright, matt or patinated. ( Patination makes the dial look 300 years old!! ) There is more information about the finishes on the specification page
